Commercial Estimator:  The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience as a commercial estimator within the glazing industry, estimating standard and custom architectural aluminum products, glass and miscellaneous architectural metal including product installations.

General Job Description:

• Prepare cost estimates for material, labor, glass, and equipment
• Solicit pricing from suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors and outside services
• Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings
• Prepare budget estimates for jobs in the planning/preconstruction stage

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimating is the primary responsibility
• Interaction and negotiations with Architect, Owner, and General Contractor
• Presentation, Negotiating and Sales of Projects

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Software experience with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
• Estimating software experience – PartnerPak or GDS
• Experience with multi-prime bid preparation, curtain wall experience and blast products
• Thorough knowledge of the Aluminum, Glass and Glazing Industry

Education:

Prefer 2-4 years of college

Salary Range: Salary commensurate with experience
